Position Overview:
As the Lead Interior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design vision for a range of residential, commercial and production projects. Under the project lead, you will ensure the successful execution of design concepts from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high quality work that aligns with the project’s scope and objectives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic start-up environment, balancing creativity with operational oversight while collaborating with team members to ensure project’s goals are met. .
Design Development
Lead the design development process, selecting materials, finishes, and specifying furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
Use 2D and 3D design software to create detailed design plans, layouts, and visualizations.
Collaborate with the design team to translate design concepts into comprehensive documentation, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
Project Coordination & Workflow Management
Work closely with the team to integrate all design phases into the project timeline, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Proactively communicate any challenges or delays to ensure timely solutions and maintenance of project momentum
Manage workflows effectively, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within scope, and communicate progress to the project lead and operations team.
Oversee and track procurement processes, coordinating with vendors, trade partners, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of design elements.
Conduct site visits to oversee the implementation of design concepts, ensuring compliance with NW10’s standards and specifications.
Client Interaction
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the design phase, professionally presenting concepts, revisions, and final designs.
Understand client preferences and objectives to tailor design solutions that reflect their vision.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to ensure the successful completion of projects ensuring adherence to timelines.
Attend team meetings to provide design insights and contribute to project enhancement discussions.
Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering their professional growth and creative output.
Quality Control
Review design documentation to ensure precision, alignment with client expectations, and adherence to design standards.
Offer creative solutions to design challenges, ensuring seamless integration of those solutions.
Qualifications:
4-6 years of experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing residential and commercial projects.
Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape).
Proven experience managing workflows and meeting strict project timelines.
Strong ability to manage the design development phase, balancing creative vision with practical execution.
Experience working in a start-up environment, with the flexibility to take on diverse roles and responsibilities.
Proven ability to mentor junior designers and foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, team members, and external stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is required.
Experience in production or experiential design is highly valued.
Additional Information:
Travel: Occasional travel to project sites and meetings with clients or vendors, with all related expenses covered by the company.
Compensation: Prorated salary of $70-80k (depending on experience) for the 3-month contract. All work-related travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Review Period: We will evaluate the potential for a permanent position after the 3-month contract, based on performance. Expect touch base meetings at 30, 60, and 90 days.

The Executive Assistant (EA) to the CEO is a high-impact role, directly supporting the CEO in advancing strategic priorities, managing executive coordination, and ensuring business alignment across key areas. You will help streamline operational processes, maximize the CEO’s unique strengths, and act as a trusted confidant in business-critical projects. Additionally, you will manage an Administrative Assistant, guiding them in day-to-day responsibilities to ensure business operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Executive Management & Coordination
• Directly manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and time allocation to prioritize strategic, creative, and business-focused work.
• Prepare the CEO for all engagements, including client meetings, business development discussions, and team planning, with detailed agendas, relevant data, and research.
• Manage the Administrative Assistant’s daily tasks, delegating effectively to optimize support for executive and operational functions.
2. Strategic Partnership & Execution
• Serve as the CEO’s strategic partner in goal setting, supporting the development and tracking of quarterly and annual objectives.
• Example of Strategic Partnership: Work alongside the CEO to develop a content strategy for social media and a YouTube channel launch. Outline content ideas, scheduling, and collaboration opportunities, coordinating with the Admin Assistant to streamline execution.
• Example of Strategic Partnership: Coordinate and prepare the CEO for high-stakes client engagements, aligning project proposals with strategic business goals, and identifying opportunities for expanded client relationships.
• Drive business priorities forward by proactively identifying and solving potential bottlenecks, assisting with goal progress tracking, and preparing actionable insights from key meetings.
3. Project & Workflow Management
• Implement systems (using Motion, Planoly, and Materio) to streamline content creation, project tracking, and task prioritization across teams.
• Oversee cross-functional workflows, ensuring clarity in deliverables and deadlines, and providing the Administrative Assistant with guidance on operational support tasks.
• Support the CEO in creating SOPs for key processes, identifying areas for efficiency and enabling smooth scaling of business operations.
4. Operations & Administrative Support
• Handle essential administrative tasks, including expense management, travel arrangements, and vendor coordination.
• Provide the Administrative Assistant with clear direction in managing document preparation, data entry, office organization, and scheduling support.
• Lead efforts to develop systems for repeatable tasks, improve operational efficiency, and create a seamless administrative workflow.
5. Communication & Brand Representation
• Draft, review, and organize client communications, newsletters, and social media copy to ensure brand consistency.
• Act as the CEO’s representative in meetings as needed, documenting key points and ensuring that all follow-up actions are tracked and completed.
6. Personal Assistance & Well-being Focus
• Assist the CEO with personal scheduling and ensure alignment with her athletic and wellness goals, especially during high-demand periods.
• Respect the CEO’s work-life boundaries (e.g., Sundays and evenings unless urgent), optimizing her schedule for sustained productivity and creativity.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years in a similar role with executive-level support experience
• Strong project management skills and proficiency with tools like Motion, Planoly, and Materio
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• High EQ, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and with integrity
• Proactive and able to think critically about how to best support the CEO’s evolving needs
• Excellent communication and writing skills; ability to represent the brand effectively
• Knowledge or interest in interior design and branding is a plus
• Adaptable to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Compensation:
60-70k, depending on experience.
